About the role

As a Transport Manager with us, you are the spider in the web of our operations. You are responsible for ensuring our 25 vehicles run efficiently, but you also play a key role in tweaking our working methods to make us even sharper.

Your main challenges:

• Optimize operations: Plan and manage transport activities with a focus on maximum efficiency.
• Leadership in everyday life: Allocate resources and be the obvious support for our drivers.
• Business value: Manage customer contacts, ensure high scanning quality, and prepare invoicing documentation.
• Vehicle responsibility: Plan service, inspections, and ensure our fleet is in top condition.
• Development: You are expected to be involved in identifying and implementing improvements in our flows and system support (e.g., Opter).

You report to the site manager and work closely with both drivers, the workshop, and the office.

Who are we looking for?

We believe you are a person who gets things done. You don't need to know everything from day one, but you must have the willingness to learn and take initiative.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is unpretentious and enjoys solving problems under time pressure.
• Has an easy way with people and creates good relationships (both with customers and in the break room).
• Is meticulous but also efficient.

It is a big plus if you have studied transport/logistics and/or have worked as a driver previously and now want to take the step into the office. Having a CE license or technical knowledge of trucks is worth its weight in gold, but your attitude is absolutely the most important thing to us.

The position is a permanent full-time job with a start date to be agreed upon. We apply a 6-month probation period.

Stures Åkeri was founded in 1966 in Borås and is a well-established transport company. We handle both LTL (Less Than Truckload) and FTL (Full Truckload) for DHL in Västra Götaland and Småland. Today, we have a fleet of approximately 55 vehicles and operate both local and regional transport. We actively work with sustainable transport, including electric distribution in central Borås.
